Into July and the weather continues to swelter.  The growth in the gardens is slowing down slightly but it has been a bumper year with much to do.  Everything continues to delight in the garden and with all the sunshine we may once again be able to look forward to a good harvest. 

I work in West Oxfordshire as a gardener, helping with general maintenance and upkeep, be that weeding, pruning, tidying, planting or any number of tasks.  Gardening is a pleasure, despite the attentions of bugs and bees, assaults by roses and the mercurial nature of the British climate, be it too hot or too wet.  A well-tended border, a nicely trimmed hedge, a freshly mown lawn or a bed full of interest offer regular moments of pleasure to make each day worthwhile - weather permitting.
